About the role

As a Senior Cyber Security Consultant at Polar Point, you will play a key role in delivering high-value cybersecurity services to our customers while contributing to the growth and development of our consulting practice.

You will combine deep technical understanding with advisory capability and business awareness. In practice, this means that you can move comfortably between strategic discussions with customer leadership, solution design with technical teams and hands-on delivery in complex customer environments.

You will act as a trusted advisor, lead important security initiatives and help customers prioritise improvements that reduce risk and strengthen operational maturity. You will also contribute to business development in a consultative way by identifying customer needs, shaping new engagements and helping develop services that create measurable value.

What you will do

Customer delivery and technical leadership

· Lead and deliver cybersecurity consulting engagements in complex customer environments.

· Design, implement and improve security solutions across endpoint security, vulnerability management, identity, cloud and hybrid environments.

· Perform security assessments and translate findings into pragmatic, risk-based recommendations.

· Provide senior technical guidance during implementations, security transformations and improvement programmes.

· Help customers strengthen cybersecurity hygiene, visibility, control and operational resilience.

· Support customers in aligning security improvements with business priorities, regulatory expectations and practical implementation constraints.

Advisory and project leadership

· Act as a trusted advisor to CISOs, IT leaders and other senior stakeholders.

· Lead security projects and initiatives from planning and scoping through execution and follow-up.

· Coordinate stakeholders, manage scope, timelines, risks and dependencies.

· Support customer decision-making by explaining complex security topics in a clear and business-relevant way.

· Contribute to structured methods, playbooks, assessments and best practices used across Polar Point engagements.

Business development and practice growth

· Identify customer needs and opportunities within existing and new engagements.

· Support pre-sales activities such as customer meetings, solution design, scoping and effort estimation.

· Contribute to proposals, presentations and service development.

· Help shape and improve Polar Point’s cybersecurity offerings.

· Share knowledge internally and support colleagues as we grow the consulting team.

· Contribute to long-term customer relationships by delivering quality, clarity and trust in every assignment.

Who you are

You are an experienced cybersecurity professional who enjoys combining technical depth with advisory work. You are confident in customer-facing situations and comfortable working with both technical specialists and senior decision-makers.

You probably enjoy solving complex problems, creating structure in uncertain situations and helping customers move from analysis to practical improvement. You take ownership, communicate clearly and care about delivering outcomes that matter.

We believe you have

· Approximately 10 years or more of experience in cybersecurity, security consulting or senior security delivery roles.

· Strong experience delivering cybersecurity improvements in customer or enterprise environments.

· Solid knowledge in one or more of the following areas: endpoint security, vulnerability management, identity and access management, cloud security, Microsoft security services, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID or security platform implementation.

· Experience leading or contributing to security projects, implementations or improvement programmes.

· Ability to translate technical findings into business-relevant recommendations.

· Experience working with senior stakeholders such as CISOs, CIOs, IT leaders or security managers.

· A consultative mindset and the ability to identify customer needs, shape solutions and contribute to business development.

· Strong communication skills in both Swedish and English.

· Fluency in Swedish, written and spoken.

· Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance when required.

It is a plus if you also have

· Experience from large, complex or regulated organizations.

· Experience with security assessments, security health checks, Zero Trust initiatives or cyber maturity improvement.

· Experience with technologies and platforms such as Microsoft 365 Security, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Tanium, Trend Vision One, BeyondTrust, Rapid7 or similar tools.

· Experience in IAM, PAM, endpoint management, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, compliance or security operations.

· Experience working with frameworks or regulations such as ISO 27001, NIS2, NIST CSF, DORA or similar.

· Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, Microsoft security certifications or vendor-specific certifications.

Certifications are valuable, but practical experience, sound judgement and proven customer impact matter most to us.

Location and working model

The role is based in Stockholm, with flexibility depending on assignment and customer needs. Some work will be performed remotely, while customer presence is expected when it creates value or is required for delivery.

Because many of our customers operate in Swedish-speaking environments, fluent Swedish is required.
